Could SatAM ever come back?
The revival of an 11-year-old cartoon television series like SatAM may seem unlikely, but I wouldn't rule it out completely, especially considering the current environment and trends in the entertainment industry. Sure, the chances for a SatAM continuation may be slim, but it's safe to say that the series has more going for it than most 'defunct' cartoon shows do.
Why? Not only does SatAM posess a larger, more vocal fanbase than most cartoon shows lost to history, but the team that created it cared for it. In fact, we have writer Ben Hurst on our side, doing everything in his power to accomplish this goal. Hurst has said that if he fails to bring back the cartoon, he may decide to write up a narrative of the “lost” third season and release it to the fanbase in one form or another.
In the end, whether or not SatAM ever returns should have no bearing on our affinity for it. Despite the unfortunate circumstances that have plagued the series, the fact is that SatAM did exist, and nothing can change that.
