FAQ

Q: Is SatAM on DVD or VHS?

A: Yes. See the Information section on Releases.

After many years of anticipation, petition, and patient (err... not really) waiting, SatAM was released to DVD on March 27th, 2007 by Shout! Factory. The full 4-disc set includes interviews with actor Jaleel White and writer Ben Hurst and is entitled Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Series.

It has long been rumored that the original Super Sonic DVD (released in 2002) was discontinued as a result of liscensing issues with either SEGA or Disney/Buena Vista (who owned DiC for a period of time), and that DiC originally planned on releasing more DVDs shortly after the release of Super Sonic. It now appears that SEGA was likely the party at fault, although each company we contacted always seemed eager to place the blame on the other. We do not have any definite confirmation as to why no further DVD's were released, but it is believed that SEGA wanted all eyes focused on Sonic X at the time and thought that releasing SatAM or AoStH would confuse fans.
