Why was SatAM canceled?
SatAM was a series cut-off at its very peak. According to writer Ben Hurst, the series was ousted when the new president of ABC children's programming came on board. The competition from several other series, in particular Power Rangers on Fox, was beginning to take its toll on SatAM's ratings, and apparently the new president wasn't particularly attached to the show. As a network series, SatAM's future rested solely in the hands of ABC.
